When engaging with this site, you might have come across the word ‘sin’, and learnt about the problems that it causes in our lives - both in the seen and unseen. Sin is the wrong that we all do in the eyes of God. It must be dealt with, otherwise we cannot be freed from the weight that it brings us not only today, but also spiritual death in eternity.
We need to be freed of that and receive the cure for eternal death, which is God’s forgiveness that brings everlasting life. To be in that life-giving friendship with God, one that’s filled with His love, joy, hope and peace, we have to ask for His forgiveness. So, are your sins forgiven? Do you have peace in your heart with God?
To know that you are saved this very day, you can speak to God in prayer - asking Him for forgiveness, accepting Him into your life and choosing to turn away from your old way of living (the Bible calls this repentance). Perhaps you could pray a prayer like the one below. As you pray it sincerely, He will hear your prayer and forgive you of your sin.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Saviour. In Your Name. Amen. |
